R-4985-25R Detectable Warning Plates

The R-4985-25R detectable warning plates from Reliance Foundry are designed to facilitate inclusive public spaces by making high-traffic areas safe and accessible for those with visually impairments. Built to ASTM 1028 and CSA B651-12 standards and made with ASTM A48 Class 35B cast-iron, these tactile plates signal changes in level or a transition from sidewalk to street effectively and prevent slipping with grid-textured surfaces and truncated domes.

Each plate measures 24″ deep by 20.55″ wide, features a 25R radial edge designed for curved applications, and is engineered to withstand being run over by heavy vehicles. Additionally, the plates are fully recyclable at the end of their life cycle. This item comes uncoated by default and will form a natural patina from oxidization and moisture, providing an effective visual contrast from the environment.
