IronArmor, powder coating, and plastic colors
Reliance Foundry offers a range of products in different colors for added visibility and to complement design schemes.
Powder coating
Our standard powder-coating has protects iron, steel, and aluminum products with a thick, uniform coating providing excellent corrosion resistance.
The coating process involves careful pre-treatment, powder application, and high-temperature curing.
The object is first cleaned to remove dirt, grease, and any other material that may interfere with adhesion. Colored powder is then electrically charged to create an electrostatic attraction. Reliance Foundry products undergo two coats: a primer, and a topcoat. Once the object is coated in dry powder, it is placed in a curing oven, where high temperatures cause the powder to gel and cure.
Reliance Foundry uses a powder coating system designed for long-term outdoor wear.
Color options:
All in-stock iron, standard steel, and aluminum products are available for immediate shipment in black textured semi-gloss. Other standard color options require an additional 1-2 weeks for processing and delivery.
Stainless steel products can be powder coated for additional protection and/or to match existing site designs. Custom color matching services are available: explore RAL color swatches to find the right site color.

IronArmor is either applied electrostatically like powder, or through a dip process as is done in galvanization. Both methods create a thick, uniform coating without pinhole surface breaks. Laboratory tested UV, salt, and humidity protection and proven ding-and-scrape resistance make this finish a stand out choice for low-maintenance site furnishings.
Should the finish become scraped in a collision, IronArmor is easy to repair onsite.
For bike rack finishing, IronArmor FrameSafe provides a thicker coating to help create a softer cushion for bike frames.

Polyethylene Plastic Covers
Polyethylene plastic bollard covers are available in a range of colors for aesthetics and visibility. Polyethylene won't fade or chip from regular weathering, and is low-maintenance. Plastic bollard covers also resist physical markup from collisions, and chemical wear from solvents and de-icing salts.
Each post cover is made from either high-density polyethylene (HDPE) or low-density polyethylene (LDPE) plastics in which the selected color is impregnated. Ultraviolet and antistatic additives prevent fading due to sun exposure, producing a bright, resilient color. The color extends through the entire material area of the cover, so subsequent dents and scratches have a minimal effect on the overall appearance.

Reliance Foundry offers ten different color options for its line of plastic bollard covers. Bollard covers are available with optional reflector strips in 1 of 4 colors to increase visibility in low-light and adverse weather conditions.

Polyurethane Flexible Bollards
Polyurethane flexible bollards are made from durable polyurethane plastic. The coloring permeates throughout the material, so any impacts will result in minimal visible scratches, scrapes, or dents. All bollards feature UV protection to prevent fading in sunlight and minimize maintenance.

Flexible bollards ship in standard black to complement any contemporary or traditional architectural and landscape design. Other standard color options require an additional 12 weeks for processing and delivery. All flexible bollards are available with optional reflector strips in 1 of 3 colors to increase visibility in low-light and adverse weather conditions.
