We are a small, agile business with ambitious growth plans and a relentless drive to innovate. Currently, we are seeking a highly organized and logical HR Manager to join our team. This pivotal role will support our staff’s needs today and strategize for our future, ensuring continued success through effective and strategic HR management. Key Responsibilities

  • Foster a positive company culture that aligns with our values of excellence, high performance, and quality, while ensuring a diverse and inclusive work environment.
  • Oversee HR operations for a BC-based staff, including payroll, recruitment, training, and events.
  • Manage and optimize HR Information Systems (HRIS) to enhance HR processes efficiently.
  • Develop, implement, and track HR-related budgets, including recruiting, company training, and events.
  • Draft, review, and improve company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and best practices.
  • Lead a small HR team, providing direction and support in all HR activities.
  • Balance a role that is approximately 75% tactical, with the potential for more strategic involvement for a seasoned candidate.
  • Engage in strategic planning, contributing to the overall growth and direction of the company.

Required Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred.
  • 3-10 years of HR experience, with a proven track record in leading an HR department.
  • Expertise in managing BC-based payroll and familiarity with relevant payroll and HRIS platforms.
  • Demonstrated leadership and high performance in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong budget management skills, specifically related to HR recruiting, company training, and events.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent organizational skills, able to balance day-to-day HR responsibilities with broader strategic objectives.
  • Experience fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment, with a genuine care for people and their development.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
