Low-carbon steel, ductile iron and stainless steel

Reliance Foundry products are manufactured from the highest-quality materials to ensure durability, style and little required maintenance.

Low-Carbon Steel

Standard steel products are fabricated using high-quality, low-carbon steel. This type of steel contains only trace amounts of carbon, which allows for high ductile strength. Steel is an exceptionally strong material used in buildings, bridges and industrial machine parts. When combined with a protective powder coating, it ensures lasting durability for years to come.

Cast Ductile Iron

Many decorative products are cast using ductile iron. Unlike standard cast iron, which is brittle in nature, ductile iron is made using small amounts of magnesium or cerium to manipulate carbon into formations that won’t compromise material integrity under stress. The result is a metal with high impact properties and resistance to long-term fatigue.

Stainless Steel

Stainless steel contains a high amount of chromium. At a high-enough concentration, a passive chromium oxide barrier forms on the material surface, making it highly resistant to staining and rust. Reliance Foundry products use 316 series austenitic stainless steel, which contains especially high amounts of chromium and nickel to provide increased resistance to corrosion.

Low-Density Polyethylene

Low-Density Polyethylene is a durable thermoplastic polymer that has a high resistance to cracking under stress. It also has excellent impact properties and will retain its shape and color for many years—making it an ideal material for long-term bike parking.
